Missing an eBay shipping-label cost?
Bought a label on eBay but cannot see its cost in BinFlip? Check the common reasons and how to add it.
1. How did you pay for the label?
Check whether the payment came from your eBay funds or another payment method, such as PayPal or a credit card. eBay says its financial data excludes charges and credits for:
“shipping labels purchased with methods other than eBay funds, such as PayPal”
If you used another payment method, enter the cost manually. For future labels, choose eBay funds where available so the charge can be shared with BinFlip.
2. Did you buy several labels at once?
With bulk label purchases, eBay may not provide a separate cost for each order. If we only receive a combined charge, we cannot reliably assign a label cost to your sale. Enter the individual label’s cost manually in that case.
Purchasing labels individually with eBay funds can help avoid this limitation for future orders.
3. Was the label purchased recently?
The order and its label charge can become available at different times. eBay cautions that “there may be a lag” before payment transactions appear in the information it shares with BinFlip.
A shipping confirmation does not mean the cost has reached BinFlip yet. We cannot promise a specific arrival time. If the cost stays missing, contact us so we can check the order.
How to add the missing cost
To keep your profit accurate now:
- Find the amount you paid for that label in eBay.
- Open the sale in BinFlip and choose Add Expense.
- Select Shipping and save the actual label cost.
If an eBay Shipping Label expense later imports for the same charge, remove your duplicate manual entry. BinFlip does not automatically merge it with the imported cost.
None of these explain it?
Email support@binflip.com with your eBay order number, store, label purchase date, amount, and payment method. Tell us whether you bought the label individually or in bulk. We will check whether the cost is unavailable from eBay or was missed during import.
